Message to CASHS Parents - January 25, 2018

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Together we begin the process of ensuring your student is prepared for life after high school.  The CASHS MISSION:  The Chambersburg Area Senior High School is committed to student excellence through high standards.  In partnership with the community, we will assist students in acquiring the skills and the knowledge to achieve their potential and the integrity to meet the demands of the future by creating a challenging environment.  In order for us to ensure we achieve our mission, we must work together.  Therefore, as a TEAM, we will accomplish our mission by:

  1. Implementing increased support for struggling learners to improve graduation rate
  2. Increased utilization of student achievement data from state and local assessments to support student course selection and indications of career readiness
  3. Connecting students to business community and strengthening community networking to ensure students graduate with a career plan/option.

My vision for students has always been: Learning Now to Serve Later!  The academic service we provide students as they establish their career plan will no doubt build confidence for each graduate to serve our community and beyond in years to come.  So, as we begin to plan for the future, I remind you that on Tuesday, January 30th, CASHS will host a scheduling night for parents in current grades 8-11.  The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the CASHS Auditorium.  Faculty from each content area as well as grade-level administrators and counselors will be available to answer any questions you may have regarding content specific scheduling.

Please reach out to me if you have any questions. Thank you and I look forward to working with you.

Go Trojans!
