Dear CASD Families,

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all of you who took the time to participate in our recent survey regarding the proposed K-8th grade reconfiguration and consolidation plans. Your input is invaluable as we strive to create a better future for our students and community.

Your participation reflects our community’s dedication to enhancing the quality of education in the Chambersburg Area School District. I am pleased to share a few key insights from the survey results:

• 701 parents/guardians and community members participated in the survey.

• 63.05% of respondents (39.28% agree, 23.77% strongly agree) indicated they were given enough information to determine their level of support for the proposed changes.

• 71.34% of respondents are either very supportive (44.86%) or somewhat supportive (26.48%) of Option 4.

• 55.71% or respondents watched the presentations online and 17.19% attended in-person.

• 58% of the respondents have lived in CASD for 16 or more years.

Open ended comments are being analyzed to see if there are any patterns to consider.  Thanks to everyone who provided constructive feedback and ideas.   As a reminder, a video recording of our forum presentation is available for viewing on YouTube, and a Q&A document on the proposed plan can be viewed here.
