This past year was full of many challenges. We experienced mask mandates, quarantines, contact tracing and shifting health and safety guidance. Through it all, students, families and district personnel persevered, worked hard and together we finished the school year strong.
This summer and during the staff opening in-service week in August, we will be heavily focused on professional development to support writing across the curriculum and the implementation of newly acquired English Language Arts materials. In June, we will be holding our annual administrators leadership professional development. All administrators and staff continue to learn and develop.
Chambersburg Area School District is a wonderful school district which serves the needs of almost 10,000 students over 250 square miles. As with any district, we always want to improve upon all that we do and meet the learning needs of all of our students. We will continue work on our main goals of academic achievement, college and career readiness, high performing staff and fiscal stewardship.
Additionally, we continue to work on our vision:
That every child achieves in school and attains the skills needed to achieve success in the future in a highly collaborative culture of honesty, trustworthiness and passion for our mission of bettering the lives of children.
Have a safe, restful and enjoyable summer.
