CAMS South Drama Club Presents Annie Jr

The CAMS South Drama Club is proud to present Annie JR on February 21, 22 and 23, 2020.  The 60-minute musical, designed for middle-school aged performers, is based on the popular comic strip and adapted from the Tony Award-winning Best Musical. With a beloved book and score, Annie Jr. features everyone’s favorite little redhead in her very first adventure! The CAMS South cast/crew contains approximately 43 students led by Director, Mrs. Rebecca Hoover, along with Musical Director, Mrs. Erin S. Bayko, Choreographer, Mrs. Caroline Hinton and Miss Alexis Franchi.

“We are so excited for you to come out and support our very talented group of students this year! Our cast, crew and directors have all been diligently practicing for this production every day after school since the beginning of November. All ages will enjoy this popular show and will probably end up singing along!” said Hoover.

With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie (Norah Kinton) charms everyone’s hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan (Zoey Wolfe). Annie eventually foils Miss Hannigan’s evil machinations, finding a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks (Ethan Wetherald), his personal secretary, Grace Farrel (Elizabeth Kaufman), and a lovable mutt named Sandy!
