On Saturday May 2nd, 2020 the American Cancer Society will be sponsoring Chambersburg's Relay For Life event at the Chambersburg Senior High School from 10 AM until 10 PM. Highlights of the day will include a Cancer Survivors Dinner; Laps to remember those we have lost to cancer and in honor of those fighting cancer; a Kid's Camp with a bounce house; and a moving closing Luminary Service.
Your school club, team, or group can help us make a difference by joining us in the fight to end Cancer by forming a team to walk with us and help raise funds in the fight. Your group might sponsor a fundraiser before or at the Relay For Life event. We also need and welcome volunteers at our Relay For Life Event. There are many other ways that you can get involved as well.
Join us for our Open House at the Chambersburg High School's Library on Monday March 9th from 6 until 7 PM to learn more about our event and ways that you can help us end this terrible disease. The American Cancer Society is the largest not-for-profit organization in the fight against all cancers, raising over one billion dollars a year to help end this terrible disease. Those funds are used to provide free housing during cancer treatments for patients and their caregivers; provide rides to treatments; 24/7/365 support for patients; help find financial assistance when needed, and provide research grants that include funding 49 Nobel Laureate researchers. These are just a few of the ways people are helped by the American Cancer Society.
