At the December 17th regular board meeting, CASD Superintendent Dr. Dion Betts recognized Haley Rohm, CASHS Senior, as the winner of the CASD December Kindness Challenge. Haley was presented with a Superintendent's Commendation certificate and Trojan Pin. The theme of the December Kindness Challenge was a "random act of kindness."
Recently a bus accident occurred in which a truck drove into the back of a school bus that Haley was riding. Despite experiencing tremendous pain, the first thing Haley did following the accident was to check on the well-being of the younger children behind her seat.
Please join us in congratulating Haley on her recognition and thanking her for this selfless act.
The Superintendent's Commendation certificate reads:
"This Commendation is presented to an individual who espouses kindness, compassion, and selfless service to the school district and its staff and students. Haley Rohm exemplifies our vision that every child achieves in school and attains the skills needed to be successful in the future through a highly collaborative culture of honesty, trustworthiness, and passion for our mission of bettering the lives of children."
