District Appoints New Director of Career and Technical Education & New Director of Special Education
(Bradley Ocker, Autumn Reely)
At the Tuesday, October 22nd regular board meeting, the CASD Board of Directors appointed Bradley Ocker as the new Director of Career and Technical Education and Autumn Reely as the new Director of Special Education.
Ocker is currently serving as principal of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School (CASHS) and will remain in his role until a replacement is appointed.
“My last two years as the principal of the Chambersburg High School have been tremendous,” said Ocker. “We have so many outstanding students and staff that make our school and community a great place to live and work. The best part of my experience has been observing the students of the high school mature into young adults who, through the mentoring and leadership of our staff and community, graduate with plans for their future.”
The appointment is a key decision that helps to achieve one of the District’s main goals of career and college readiness. Ocker will work to maintain close relationships with community agencies, businesses, post-secondary educational institutions, and other agencies pertinent to career education.
Autumn Reely, formerly the Supervisor of Emotional Support Services, was appointed by the CASD Board of Directors as the new Director of Special Education. Reely has served in several different positions in the District over the last 13 years.
“I’m extremely passionate about working with our children and teachers,” said Reely. “I’m looking forward to building strong programming from kindergarten through graduation, so that when our kids graduate they are ready to go into the job field, college, or whatever they choose.”
As Director of Special Education, Reely will oversee all special education programming for CASD and will ensure that the District stays current with federal and state special education regulations.
Please join us in congratulating both Bradley Ocker and Autumn Reely on their new positions.
