Dear Parents/Guardians:

A new school year is just around the corner!  I wanted to let you know about an exciting opportunity for your student(s) this year, CASD’s Anytime, Anywhere 1:1 Learning Initiative.  As part of this initiative, your child will receive a Chromebook, similar to a small laptop, that they will use for virtual learning at home.

Parents wishing to receive a Chromebook for their child to do online learning will need to register to either opt-in or out of the damage waiver and accept the terms of Anytime, Anywhere 1:1 Learning Initiative at  If you prefer to use your own computer during virtual-only instruction, you may do so provided the device has a video camera and microphone. However, once in-person instruction begins, all students will be required to use district provided devices and a Chromebook will be issued to your student at that time.  Tech support will only be available for district provided devices.

During registration, choosing to purchase a damage waiver will protect you from the costly repairs and damage while limiting your responsibility to a per-occurrence deductible should a loss occur.  Learn more about the fee, the protection it provides and how to register at Registering for your Chromebook will require your student’s ID number (lunch number) which can be found on the Community Web Portal.

The Anytime, Anywhere 1:1 Learning Initiative is a springboard to transforming teaching and learning in the digital age, and will provide the tools and content that give students the ability to create, access, and experience all the world has to offer. You can learn many more details about Anytime, Anywhere 1:1 Learning Initiative and the new Chromebooks at

We are so excited about the opportunities this will provide for our students this year.  For questions about how to enroll, please refer to the 1:1 website, contact the One2One Helpdesk at or call 1-855-ONE2ONE (1-855-663-2663).
