• Hello!

Welcome to Hamilton Heights! Whether you are a student returning to the building for the 2022-23 school year, or brand new to the building, like me, we are going to have an exciting and PAWS-itive year!

A little about myself- first year principal at Hamilton Heights, I come from CAMS South as an assistant principal for the past 6 years. Prior to that, I taught for 14 years and worked in administration for 2 years at CASHS.

Chambersburg Area School District has been my home for my entire career, and I am looking forward to getting to know the Hamilton Heights community!

On a personal note, I live in Shippensburg with my husband, two children, and two dogs.  We love to be outdoors, football season is our favorite, and we enjoy spending time with our family and friends.

This year, we will work together to provide positive reinforcements and supports for our students, using the PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) program, partnered with daily social emotional learning strategies to model school-wide positive behavior. Our theme this year will support our PAWS-itive school environment and culture, in which we strive to have a Positive Attitude, Achieve Goals, Work and Play Safely, and Self-Concept.

I believe in open communication and your student’s safety, education, and overall well-being is a top priority. Elementary years lay the foundation for the rest of their academic, social, and emotional future, so we must work together to provide our students with the most meaningful education during their time at Hamilton Heights.

    Let’s have a PAWS-itive year

Here are some fun facts about Hamilton Heights!

    • Our enrollment is the highest in the elementary schools at CASD with about 600 students.
    • HH has 50 teachers and an additional 35 support staff employees.
    • We are "4-deep" in each grade level, K-5th grade. For example, we have 4 Kindergarten classes, 4 first grade classes, etc.
    • We believe in building character and creating a culture of inclusion and acceptance for all students and staff.
    • Most of our 5th grade students will transition to CAMS North after completing elementary school.
    • We have a 5 Day Cycle; Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, and Day 5. This is very helpful for families to know which "specials" class students have that day. Our specials include Art, Library, Music, and Physical Education.
