  • Trojan Swimming: The Way We Do Things

Our Mission or Goal- To be the Best Team we can be at any given point in time

Our Motto- I will not allow anyone to work harder than myself

    We Believe:

    • Each member of the Team is an important part of the whole Team
    • You must be willing to take yourself where you've never been before
    • The word "can't" doesn't exist  (can't never did anything)
    • You must have the Courage to fail- never be afraid to try (reset)
    • You must take Pride in your Self, your Lane, your Team

    Encourage, Support, Lead, Commit!

    Appreciate your Teammates

    Learn the Principles of swimming

The longer you make yourself in the water, the faster you'll swim

The more streamline you are, the faster you'll move thru the water

      Reduce drag; increase lift

      Balanced body- head in position

    Learn the Fundamentals of swimming

    Mechanics

    Streamline

    Fingers together

    Catch, Pull, Accelerate

    Steady fluent kick

    Obey the Law

Start at the wall; finish at the wall

       Backstrokers- know your stroke count

      Accelerate at the flags

      No breath flags to wall

      Good turns every time

      Learn to read the clock

       Streamline every start and turn

    Trust the Coach

    Develop a pre-race ritual

Take personal Responsibility for your own success.  Ask:

    Ø   Is this my best?

Ø   Would I put my signature on it?

Ø   Am I practicing for meet performance?

Ø   Am I thinking about the team?
