The CASHS Advanced Placement program provides the opportunity for students to take college-level course work in high school. Resourceful and prepared AP teachers work with students to develop and apply the skills and content knowledge they will experience in college.
Each AP course concludes with a college-level exam. AP exams are an essential part of the AP experience, allowing students to apply the critical thinking skills they have learned in a comprehensive exam. Most two- and four- year colleges and universities recognize AP in the admission process and accept exam scores for credit.
CASHS is offering 20 AP courses during the 2017-2018 school year, with several new courses anticipated in the future.
CASHS students enrolled in an AP course may now choose whether or not they take the exam in May. The 2018 fee is $94.00 per exam. Students may begin to register for exams on January 2, 2018.
