I graduated from the Chambersburg Career Magnet School (Cms). I earned a dual degree in Early Education Pre K - 4 and Special Education Pre K – 8 from Shippensburg University. I am the Itinerant Autistic Support Teacher at the Elementary School that I attended as a child... Hamilton Heights Elementary. I am so pleased and excited to be back! Prior to starting at Chambersburg School District, I taught 6th - 8th Grade Emotional Support at Greencastle Middle School and was an Elementary Case Manager for Washington County Public Schools.

I Believe That It Is My Role As an Educator to Not Only Support Students Academically, but Also with Social/ Emotional Learning As Well. I Strive to Teach Students Skills to Take with Them for the Rest of Their Lives and Use to Handle Authentic Real Life Situations. Growing up Is Grueling, Learning Is Complicated, Common Core Is Rigorous, Social Skills Are Challenging, and Regulating Emotions Is Complex; However, I Aspire to Be for My Students the Person That I Needed When I Was Growing up. I Want My Classroom to Be Welcoming to My Students and Their Families. I Want My Students' Learning Experiences and Assessments to Be Authentic and Meaningful. All Students Are Individuals, and Everyone Learns in Their Own Unique Way and I Will Adjust My Teaching As Much As Possible to Meet Each Student’s Special Abilities.
