ATTENTION:  7th & 8th Grade Band Night is on Friday, October 25.  We will be performing during the first half in the bleachers, then we will be featured with the North Band and the CASHS Band on the field at halftime!  

 

Welcome to the 2024-2025 CAMS South School Year!  Please use this website as a resource for any information you may need to have a successful experience in the CAMS South Band.  I will update this site as more information becomes available.

PLEASE NOTE: All Band students will also be in the "CAMS SOUTH Band 24-25" Google Classroom. Day to day information will be posted there, along with many other resources.  Please check the Google Classroom with your student to see information on upcoming events.

Parents, please help your son or daughter remember when they have Band Lessons and Activities Period Band Class.  All Activities Period Band dates will be listed here as they become available.  Band Lessons are on the students schedule for the school year.  CAMS South operates on a 6-Day cycle.  Your child has Band Lessons on either all Days 1, 3 & 5  or on all Days 2, 4 & 6.  

Beginning on Monday, August 26, band students will need to have their Instrument and Standard of Excellence (SOE) Books with them for Band Lesson classes.  Students should have any SOE books that they may have used with them, such as the Red Book 1, Blue Book 2 and Green Book 3.  Generally speaking:

6th Grade Band works out of Red Book 1 and will need to get a Book 2 by October.

7th Grade Band generally starts out reviewing some of Red Book 1 as they progress into Blue Book 2.  They will need a Book 3 by mid-year.

8th Grade generally starts out in Blue Book 2, but they can be looking ahead into Green Book 3

 

Full Band Rehearsals happen during Activities Period each morning from 8:00 am - 8:45 am

6th Grade Band meets on Days 2 & 4   

7th & 8th Grade Band meets on Days 1 & 3

78th Grade Jazz Band will meet on all Day 5's, beginning on October 30

County Band will meet on Day 6's in October, November, December and January
