About Mrs. Carbaugh
Degrees and Certifications:
Until I was 10 years old, I lived on my family's fruit farm in a very small community in Adams County, PA. I spent most of my days riding my bike, playing in the creek, and eating apples fresh off the trees. My teen years were spent in Waynesboro, PA. I attended high school there and was active in student council and a 3-year letterman on the field hockey team. I had decided when I was in kindergarten that I wanted to be a teacher, so after high school I went to Shippensburg University where I graduated in 1991 with a B.S. in Elementary Education. After graduation, I worked for Franklin County Head Start for 5 years and then was fortunate enough to spend time at home raising my 3 children, Maggie, Katie, and Kevin with my husband of 24 years, Rich. I was a daily sub in CASD for several years and 2017-18 will be my fifth year teaching full time at Stevens.
I believe that every child has the potential to learn and grow and that it is my job to help them reach for the stars!
