Classroom Snacks
Safety and health are a primary concern for our students. In accordance with District policy 246, we require all snacks being provided in the classroom be “smart snack” compliant. A printable list of pre-approved items can be found here.
Please note the following:
* All items provided for students must be Smart Snack compliant. If you are unsure if the snack you wish to provide is compliant, you can use the USDA Smart Snack Calculator to find out.
* For the Health and Safety of ALL students and Staff, all snacks are required to be pre-approved by food service and the school.
* All store bought snacks brought into the school must be in original, sealed packaging with a legible ingredient list. All items need to be an individual “snack size” packages; no bulk items please.
* Any non-commercially packaged foods would need to be provided by the Food Service Department. You can contact your school's Cafeteria Manager directly or the Food Service Office.
