In alignment with our belief that learning takes place best in a positive and safe environment, we are implementing significant changes to our electronic device expectations to minimize distractions and enhance student focus.

Starting this school year, students will be required to follow a “bell to bell” cell phone policy. This means that students will not have access to their personal cell phones or communication devices from the beginning of the first class block until the conclusion of the school day.

The Chambersburg Area School District Transportation Department is preparing to launch Stopfinder, a new parent/guardian app that will be used to share student bus information for the upcoming school year.

Beginning this year, student transportation information will be provided through Stopfinder only. Bus information will not be sent by email, postcard, or through the parent portal.

Bus information is expected to be released in mid-August. Additional instructions will be shared with families when Stopfinder access becomes available.

On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, the Chambersburg Area School District will hold a Committee-of-the-Whole meeting starting at 7:00 p.m. followed by a budget only voting meeting.

Please review the following information about our Summer Food Service Program, which provides free meals for all children and teens ages 18 and younger. No registration is required.

The program begins on Monday, June 8, and will run through the end of July. Meals will be served Monday through Thursday. Participating children are eligible for one breakfast and one lunch per day throughout the district.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the education survey survey shared in April. Nearly 1,200 students, staff, and family members provided feedback, giving us valuable insight into the priorities that matter most to our community.

Due to a resignation from the Board of School Directors effective May 12, 2026, the Chambersburg Area School District is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the Board representing Region 5. Interested individuals should submit a letter of interest including information related to your candidacy no later than noon on May 29, 2026, to: Superintendent's Office, Chambersburg Area School District, Administration Building, 435 Stanley Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201, or email beverly.lang@casdonline.org. Interviews will be conducted on June 2, 2026, at 6:00 PM.
