About Mrs. Bayko: She attained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) with a concentration in Voice and Trumpet, and a Master's Degree in Music Education from The Pennsylvania State University (PSU). At IUP, her principal teachers were Dr. Calvin Weber, trumpet; Dr. John Dietz, voice; and Mr. James Dearing and Dr. Jack Stamp, conducting. In 2007, she presented her PSU Master's Research at a poster session at the conference for the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association.
Mrs. Bayko is a teacher and frequent performer of vocal, trumpet, and piano music in the community and state. She has performed with the Cumberland Valley School of Music, Johnstown Symphony (trumpet), Shippensburg University Community Orchestra (trumpet), IUP Wind Ensemble (principal trumpet), IUP Chorale and Chamber Singers, IUP Symphony Orchestra, IUP faculty brass quintet, IUP Music Theater, and has served as a brass adjudicator for the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association.
Mrs. Bayko has also performed the mezzo-soprano solos in a newly discovered historical choral work for the American Musicological Society Conference in Pittsburgh.
In February of 2009, Mrs. Bayko was the guest conductor for the Franklin-Fulton County Junior High Chorus held at Waynesboro Area High School. In March of 2014, she was the guest conductor for the Franklin-Fulton County Junior High Chorus which was held at her alma mater, James Buchanan High School in Mercersburg, PA.
At CAMS South, she conducts the Seventh & Eighth Grade Chorus and is the Musical Director for the Drama Club.
Mrs. Bayko's mission is to engage all children in music in a positive way and to encourage them to be lifelong lovers of music.
Mrs. Bayko is a native of Mercersburg, PA, and her hobbies include cooking, reading, watching Penn State football, vacationing in Maine and Rhode Island, collecting antiques, amateur photography, and spending time with her family.
Music In Our Schools Month~ District-wide Chorus Concert

7:00 PM- CASHS (High School)
The CAMS South 7/8 Chorus will be performing at our district-wide choral concert on March 12th. The concert will be held at the High School. This concert will feature all of the choruses from CAMS South, CAMS North, and CASHS, grades 6-12.
Students should plan to participate in this concert and report to CASHS (high school) at 6:30 PM on March 12th. Follow the signs in the hallway to the room for CAMS South.
CONCERT ATTIRE FOR SINGERS:
Girls-knee length or longer dress or skirt, or a nice shirt and pants. If you have thin straps on your dress/shirt, please cover your shoulders with a light sweater or jacket. Do not wear high heels.
Boys- long pants (no jeans, if possible), buttoned down or collared dress shirt or polo shirt. You may wear a tie if you wish. Please, NO t-shirts with words on the front. Wear the nicest thing you have in your closet.
This concert is FREE to the public. Mark your calendars so that we can be sure that your child will sing with us at this exciting event that will feature 400+ singers!
