Welcome to second grade. Let me tell you a little about myself. I am a graduate of Shippensburg University and have been teaching for over thirty-five years.  I love teaching second grade and being on the Buchanan staff.  It is a great place to learn.

My family- I am married to Gary Sipes.  He is a book seller and likes to play the trombone.  We have two children, Garrett and Christa.   Garrett is a graduate from University of Pittsburgh and is married to Stephanie.  She is also a PITT grad.  They have two daughters and one son.  Their names are Joanna, Melanie and Gilbert.  Garrett is a pharmicist with Chambers' Apothecary.  Both Garrett and Steph play the trombone.  Christa is married to Cameron Mast. Both Christa and Cameron graduated from West Chester University.  They have a little girl named Cassie.  She will be one in November.  They live in West Chester, Pa.   Can you guess what instrument Christa plays?  TROMBONE!!!  

My hobbies- My favorite hobby is being a grammy to Joanna,Melanie, Gilbert and Cassie. I also enjoy spending time with my family, watching the PITT and West Chester bands perform and doing crafts.  I also like to help with the Kids Khoir at King Street Church , sing in the adult choir and play the handbells.

My pet-  We have a beautiful long-haired cat named Butterscotch.  Her coloring is just like butterscotch candy and that is how she got her name.
