CASD libraries strive to offer a wide array of resources that meet the academic and personal needs of our diverse community.  Our librarians select resources based on professionally written reviews that attest to the literary value and age appropriateness of the resources.  However, we recognize that parents and guardians may have differing views regarding what is appropriate for their own students.  All librarians follow district policy 109.  To learn more about the CASD selection policy, please visit the policy here.  

We encourage families to search and explore titles within our district libraries via the Destiny Library Catalog.  Below are written instructions and an instructional video explaining how to do so.

Families wishing to opt their students out of specific titles, restricting their ability to check them out, should read the instructions below and then complete the Opt-Out form.  There is a link to the electronic version of the Opt-Out form below, and each school's office should have a hard copy that you can complete and turn in, if you prefer.
