01/12/22 - In our attempt to keep students/staff safe and to keep schools open, we are asking for your assistance in slowing the community spread of COVID-19. 01/11/22 - Beginning on January 24, CASD will provide COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Testing for students and staff who develop symptoms while at school. 07/19/21 - CASD is currently planning on reopening on a 5 day a week typical basis. More information will be provided as plans are finalized prior to the start of the 2021-2022 school year.
06/24/21 - Effective Tuesday, June 29th, or sooner in accordance with PA mandates, masking will be optional for all CASD staff, students, and visitors.
06/11/21 - CASD offers 5 days of meals for pick up throughout the summer. All meals are free for children 0-18. Sign up at https://www.casdonline.org/Page/18104. Contact the CASD food service office at 717-261-3416 with questions.
06/07/21 - An email with important information regarding the K-12 Summer Learning Program will be sent to those who registered by the end of the day on Thursday, June 10. 03/17/21 - The CASD Board of Directors will vote March 23rd on a motion to return all students (K-12) to in-person instruction 4 days a week beginning March 29th. 11/18/20 - Marion Elementary School will transition to all virtual learning starting November 19th with a tentative return on December 3rd. Click here to read more. 11/12/20 - CAMS South will transition to all virtual learning starting tomorrow, November 13th, with a tentative return on December 3rd. The office will be open tomorrow from 8:00am-12:00pm for any student to retrieve their Chromebook and other items. Read more: http://ow.ly/cVpk50CiTKD

11/06/20 - On November 6th, the Chambersburg Area School District administration was notified of four positive cases of COVID-19: one 1st grade and one 3rd grade student at Hamilton Heights Elementary and two 7th grade students at CAMS North. Read more here.
11/01/20 - On October 30th, the Chambersburg Area School District administration was notified of two positive cases of COVID-19: one at Chambersburg Area Middle School South and one at Scotland Elementary School. The cases involve an 8th grade student and a 3rd grade student. 10/23/20 - CASD will host a Farmers to Families Food Box program at the CASHS student parking lot on Wednesday, October 28, from 1-2PM. Families will receive a free box of meat, dairy, produce, and a gallon of milk from the USDA while supplies last. Learn more: http://ow.ly/ngxu50C0KVm

09/24/20 - On Tuesday, September 22, the CASD Board of Directors approved a plan to provide various educational choices to families including in-person instruction under an “AA/BB” model.
