01/12/22 - In our attempt to keep students/staff safe and to keep schools open, we are asking for your assistance in slowing the community spread of COVID-19. 01/11/22 - Beginning on January 24, CASD will provide COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Testing for students and staff who develop symptoms while at school. Parents/Guardians will need to provide consent prior to staff giving the test. We will offer the testing for the remainder of the 2021-22 school year. 07/19/21 - CASD is currently planning on reopening on a 5 day a week typical basis. More information will be provided as plans are finalized prior to the start of the 2021-2022 school year.

06/24/21 - Effective Tuesday, June 29th, or sooner in accordance with PA mandates, masking will be optional for all CASD staff, students, and visitors.

11/06/20 - On November 6th, the Chambersburg Area School District administration was notified of four positive cases of COVID-19: one 1st grade and one 3rd grade student at Hamilton Heights Elementary and two 7th grade students at CAMS North. Read more here.

11/01/20 - On October 30th, the Chambersburg Area School District administration was notified of two positive cases of COVID-19: one at Chambersburg Area Middle School South and one at Scotland Elementary School. The cases involve an 8th grade student and a 3rd grade student.
