Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Christina Pennington

My name is Christina Pennington and I will be your child's 4th grade ELA (English Language Arts) teacher this year. I am a 1990 graduate of the Chambersburg Area School District and a 1994 graduate of Shippensburg University. I received my Master's Degree in 2009 from Wilkes University.

I began my teaching career in 2005 here in the Chambersburg Area School District. I taught second grade at Hamilton Heights Elementary for one year. After that, I moved to Fayetteville Elementary where I taught first grade for 14 years. In 2020, I moved to Grandview Elementary and am excited to be teaching fourth grade!

I live here in Chambersburg with my husband, Rick, and my youngest daughter, Alexis. Our home is filled with a variety of fur babies, including two dogs, three cats, two bunnies, and even two doves! We love our animal family!

When I'm not working, I enjoy taking walks outside, shopping, and going to the beach. Did I mention I love to go shopping?!

I feel blessed to be here at Grandview Elementary. My goal as an ELA teacher is to make your child a successful life-long reader!
