Levels of Intervention
-
Our staff are aligned to provide a continuum of support services from minimal to intensive levels based on student needs. The level of intervention is determined by the needs of the individual student and how the educational services can most effectively be delivered in respect to the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) for the student while ensuring a free and appropriate educational program(FAPE).
Itinerant level offers academic support to the students. Direct academic instruction in content areas generally does not occur at this level.
Supplemental level offers direct instruction in the content areas of language arts and/or math.
Full - Time levels offer direct instruction in multiple content areas which may include language arts, math, social studies, science, and functional life skills. This is a very intensive level of special education intervention and the IEP teams are required to explore opportunities for inclusion with non-disabled peers throughout the school day.
