I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. I am married and have one grown stepson. I have lived in New Franklin since 1999.  I enjoy traveling, sewing and quilting.  I spent my elementary years living on the shores of the Red Sea in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia where I attended Parent's Cooperative School.  During my high school years,  I attended Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, Massachusetts, traveling home to Saudi Arabia for Christmas and summer break. When it came time to attend, college I wanted to be closer to family.  Fortunately,  Shippensburg University provided both an excellent teacher education opportunity and allowed me to be near family. As an undergraduate,   I earned my Bachelors of Science in Education and then my Masters degree in Learning Disabilities from Shippensburg University. For this reason I settled here in beautiful South Central Pennsylvania.

After college, I taught preschool at Wilson College for 14 years before teaching for Chambursburg Area School District. In my first year,  I taught at Guilford Hills in first grade and then went to Stevens Elementary  where I taught first grade for three years and third grade for many more! I am excited about joining the teaqching staff at Marion Elementary School.

My experiences of travel have helped develop my philosophy of teaching which really is very simple. Children all over the world are the same.  They are full of potential, energy, goodness and deserving of opportunity.  Educating our children is the single most important commitment society must execute for the well being of all. I feel very honored to be a part of this great endeavor.  Thank you.
