Shippensburg University and Wilson College both offer education degrees which require a semester of student teaching. Chambersburg Area School District has always worked with these schools to provide Cooperating Teachers who can provide the guidance and mentorship to these college students who are preparing to enter the field of education.
If you are interested in sharing your classroom with a student teacher, please fill out the form which can be found below:
COOPERATING TEACHING APPLICATION
To qualify as a cooperating teacher, you must have tenure in Pennsylvania, a Master's degree and have at least two years of experience in the Chambersburg Area School District.
You are eligible to be a cooperating teacher every other year.
