Mr. Sean Wible
I was born and raised in Chambersburg, graduating from CASHS in 1989. Upon graduation, I attended Shippensburg University majoring in Chemistry with a focus on becoming an oral surgeon before switching my focus to Environmental Chemistry. I received my BS in Chemistry in 1993. After an internship and working briefly as an Environmental Chemist, I decided to go back to Ship to get my certification in teaching. Upon completion, I was hired by the CASD as a Physical Science teacher at J. Frank Faust Jr. High School in January of 1994. In September of 2001, I was moved to my current position as a chemistry teacher. I received my masters in Education Administration from Shippensburg University in May of 2000, but choose to remain in the classroom.
Outside of the classroom I spend a lot of time with my 2 sons and traveling the world when possible. It is my goal to see as many countries as possible in my life, and to show my sons and students the world. My favorite places I have travelled to are London, Vienna, Salzburg, Lucerne, Dublin, Madrid, Rome, Munich, Berlin, Barcelona, and Normandy. Taking students with me to teach them how to safely explore and travel foreign lands is one of my biggest joys!
I believe that students should feel comfortable, and stimulated in the classroom. I strongly feel that humor and rapport are essential to the success of a student. I am in education because I like working with teenage students and seeing them become interested in a difficult subject. The biggest reward I have ever received is having students tell me that they decided to be a chemistry major because of my class.
