  • Chambersburg Area Senior High School Designated As Requiring Additional Targeting School Improvement

    On December 13th, the Pennsylvania Department of Education announced Additional Targeting School Improvement (A-TSI) designations. The Chambersburg Area School District (CASD) received notification that the Chambersburg Area Senior High School (CASHS) is one of roughly 200 schools statewide designated as A-TSI.

  • CASHS School Violence Threat

    At approximately noon today, students were overheard making comments relating to school shooters. These comments were overheard by students and believed to be factual, which created rumors of a threat within the building. CASHS administration and CASD police promptly investigated the situation and found no evidence of a credible threat.

  • District to Receive $25,000 Grant for Security Upgrades

    The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) announced that Chambersburg Area School District (CASD) qualified to receive a $25,000 grant for security upgrades. CASD is one of 496 districts in the commonwealth that will receive grants that total $12.4 million.

    The Greater Chambersburg Chamber Foundation and the Chambersburg Area School District (CASD) are partnering to present Educator in the Workplace (EITW); a program designed to connect classrooms and businesses that will help schools prepare students for workforce needs in Franklin County.
